Terms of Service
Effective date: July 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Church Live Streaming websites, apps, Roku channel, APIs, and related services (the “Service”), including the platform powered by CLS StreamEngine. By creating an account, paying for a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you are accepting on behalf of a church or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. The Service
We provide tools for churches and organizations to ingest live video (for example RTMP or browser publish), deliver live and on-demand streams (including via CDN), manage recordings, optionally list publicly on our directory and Roku channel, purchase plans and bandwidth, and (on eligible plans) simulcast to third-party platforms.
Features, plan limits, and pricing are described on our pricing page and in your account. We may modify features with reasonable notice when practical; material reductions to a paid plan during a prepaid term will be handled fairly (for example continuation through the period or a pro‑rated remedy at our discretion).
2. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated
- You are responsible for safeguarding passwords, stream keys, and API credentials
- You are responsible for activity under your account and streams
- Notify us promptly of unauthorized access at support@churchlivestreaming.com
- We may suspend accounts that pose security, abuse, or legal risk
3. Your content
You retain ownership of video, audio, titles, descriptions, logos, and other materials you upload or stream (“Customer Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transcode, store, transmit, display, and distribute Customer Content solely to operate and improve the Service (including CDN delivery, thumbnails, captions processing where enabled, public listing you enable, and restream to destinations you connect).
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to stream and publish Customer Content (including music, speakers, minors appearing in services where consent is required, and any third-party copyrights). You must not use the Service for unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, fraudulent, or spam content, or for content that exploits children.
We may remove or restrict content or listings that violate these Terms or law, or that create operational or legal risk, and may preserve content when required by law.
4. Public listing and Roku
If you enable public listing (where available on your plan), your church name, live status, recordings metadata, and related assets may appear on churchlivestreaming.com and our Roku channel for discovery by the general public. You can typically turn listing off in settings; previously cached or offline copies may take time to clear.
Viewer metrics and bandwidth for public playback count toward plan allowances as described in pricing and the dashboard.
5. Plans, billing, and refunds
- Paid plans and prepaid bandwidth are billed through Stripe and/or PayPal
- Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase
- Subscriptions renew according to the plan and payment provider terms until canceled
- You are responsible for taxes where applicable
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of streaming and storage features
- Bandwidth overages or prepaid packs follow the terms shown at purchase and in the dashboard
Third-party payment providers process your payment data under their own terms and privacy policies. Enterprise and custom agreements may supersede this section where signed in writing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or attack the Service or other customers’ streams
- Circumvent plan limits, authentication, or DRM/access controls
- Resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement
- Use the Service for high-risk live events we have not agreed to support without notice where it could harm platform stability
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt encoders, CDN, or APIs
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a deceptive way
7. Third-party services
Integrations (payment processors, social platforms, CDN providers, app stores, email delivery) are subject to those parties’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or account actions (for example a social network revoking restream access).
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including software, branding (Church Live Streaming, CLS mark, CLS StreamEngine), design, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. Except for the limited rights to use the Service under these Terms, no license is granted to our trademarks or software.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free streaming; internet and third-party networks can fail.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel paid subscriptions according to your plan and payment provider. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, legal risk, or extended inactivity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete Customer Content after a reasonable period unless law requires retention. Sections that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory local law applies to you as a consumer. Courts in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes, except where prohibited. (Update this section if your operating entity or venue differs.)
14. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
