Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Church Live Streaming (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, apps, Roku channel, APIs, and related services (the “Service”), including the platform powered by CLS StreamEngine.
By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. For terms that govern use of the Service, see our Terms of Service.
1. Who this applies to
This Policy applies to:
- Church administrators and staff who create accounts and manage streams
- Viewers who watch live services or recordings on our website, embed players, or Roku channel
- Visitors to churchlivestreaming.com and related domains
Churches that stream on our platform may collect information from their own congregations under their own policies. When a church controls a stream or channel listing, that church is typically the “content controller” for what they publish; we process technical and account data as described below.
2. Information we collect
Account and church profile. Name, email address, password (stored hashed), church/tenant name, public channel slug, timezone, plan selection, and settings you configure in the dashboard (for example public listing, stream titles, RTMP credentials metadata).
Billing. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payments are processed by Stripe and/or PayPal. We receive limited billing metadata (for example subscription status, plan, customer or subscription IDs, email, and payment confirmation references) needed to provision and maintain your account.
Streaming and media. Live video/audio you publish, recorded services, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, captions (if enabled), and related technical logs (ingest, encoding, CDN delivery). Content you choose to list publicly may be shown on our website and Roku channel.
Connected social destinations. If you connect Facebook, YouTube, X, or similar services for simulcast, we receive tokens and profile identifiers those providers share so we can restream on your behalf. Those connections are subject to the third party’s policies as well.
Usage and device data. IP address, browser or device type, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, playback events, error logs, and diagnostic data. For live and VOD viewing we may record aggregate or session-level viewer metrics (for example concurrent viewers and bandwidth) to operate the Service and show church admins stats.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies or local storage for sign-in sessions, security, preferences (such as theme), and essential site operation. We do not sell personal information and do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Service as of the effective date.
Communications. Emails you send us, and messages we send you (account, billing, service notices) via our email provider (for example Resend). Support tickets and chat-style messages you submit in the dashboard (including staff replies) are stored so we can help you and keep a history of the request.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service (including CLS StreamEngine, CDN delivery, and the Roku channel)
- Create and manage accounts, authenticate users, and provision streaming capacity
- Process subscriptions, bandwidth purchases, and related billing
- Show public live and recorded content that churches choose to list
- Provide dashboard analytics (viewers, bandwidth, stream health)
- Send transactional email (signup, billing, security, service changes)
- Detect abuse, fraud, spam, and violations of our Terms
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements
5. Retention
We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legitimate business, tax, and legal purposes. Recordings and stream assets are retained according to your plan, storage settings, and deletion actions you take in the dashboard. Logs and metrics are kept for operational periods and then deleted or aggregated. You may request deletion of account data as described below, subject to legal holds and backup cycles.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information (for example HTTPS, hashed passwords, access controls, and network isolation of streaming infrastructure). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is directed to churches and adult administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) for account creation. Live worship content may be viewed by families; churches are responsible for the content they publish. If you believe a child has provided us personal information for an account, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
8. Your choices and rights
- Update church profile and many settings in the dashboard
- Disconnect social destinations from settings
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal account data by emailing support@churchlivestreaming.com
- Opt out of non-essential marketing email (transactional mail may still be sent)
- Disable cookies in your browser (some features, including sign-in, may not work)
Depending on where you live (for example EEA/UK GDPR or certain U.S. state laws), you may have additional rights to access, delete, correct, or port personal data, or to object to certain processing. We will respond to verifiable requests as required by law. If we process data on behalf of a church customer in a way that makes that church the controller, we may direct your request to that church where appropriate.
9. International transfers
We and our processors may process data in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
